The Eurostars Toscana is accommodation specially designed and built for squeezing out the best of the most admired region in the world: its hilly landscape of cypress trees, meadows and Novecento villas, the history of its mediaeval republics, its light, its green, its blue and, above all, the joie de vivre of its inhabitants. All that, put together in a hotel for you to make the most of all the riches of Tuscany.
The Eurostars Toscana is located aproximatly 15-20 min walk to the centre of Lucca. Access to the hotel is very easy from the Florence motorway; we are very close to the Lucca railway station (less than a 15-minute walk) and Pisa airport (25 minutes by car).
The hotel is in an excellent setting for discovering the fascinating city of Lucca (a true museum city with impressive Roman, Mediaeval and Renaissance monuments, like the city walls, the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, the Duomo de San Martino or the Torre delle Ore), like the attractive nearby towns of Pisa, Pietrasanta, Massa, Pistoia, Viarreggio, Livorno and, 45 minutes from the hotel, all the enchantment of Florence. But, over and beyond the cities, you should also make the most of your stay in Tuscany to enjoy the only landscape in the world that has shaped nature and mankind. At Eurostars we like to break moulds and for this reason we have placed a new, daring, ground-breaking hotel in the heart of the economic and industrial Eternal City, with the intention of telling the world that the new Rome also exists. After all, at some point in time, what is classical today was once new, too. The Eurostars Residenza Cannaregio is a perfect interplay between tradition and the architectural elements common to the Venetian style, coupled with the most exclusive modernity and comfort. In fact, the secret we at the Residenza Cannaregio have to share with you is that Venice can be romantic, nostalgic and ancient, yet it can also be comfortable and modern.
The building is a former monastery whose cloister has been transformed into a lovely courtyard with a garden. The complete overhaul of the building has yielded a backdrop that features an interplay of classical elements that respect the Venetian tradition yet boast a modern, elegant style that is hard to find in the city of canals.
The Residenza Cannaregio still conserves one of the most deeply rooted traditions in the ancient palaces of Venice: the porta d'acqua. As its name indicates, the porta d'acqua is the doorway leading directly to the canal, which enables our guests to come and go from the residenza directly in taxi or gondola.
