On the Paseo de Reding, in the La Malagueta district, Áurea Palacio de la Tinta pays tribute to the history and architecture of Málaga. This modernist building, dating from 1908 and designed by Julio O’Brien, was for many years home to the headquarters of the Andalusian Railway Company.
Reimagined as an elegant 5-star hotel, it has returned one of Málaga’s most distinctive architectural treasures to the city. Its interior reinterprets the essence of Pablo Picasso’s creative universe during his Cubist period, bringing into the hotel the geometry, fragmentation of forms and a carefully curated colour palette.
Today, it is a hotel with its own character, where the building’s history combines with an artistic inspiration deeply connected to the city.
