Landscapes to Savor

The city of León is one of the great treasures with which the most northern part of Castilla surprises its visitors. A glance over the city through the multicolored stained-glass windows of its cathedral, the Pulchra leonina, is enough to know that this is not a place that goes unnoticed.

León has unique natural gems like the valleys of El Bierzo, the Faedo de Ciñera, or the Picos de Europa; but it has also managed to transform the environment, like in the Médulas mines, a true spectacle for the eyes and a stronghold of history created by the Romans.

This city still preserves its traditional essence, which is, ultimately, one of its greatest charms. As for León's gastronomy, the meats and sausages with intense flavors stand out, such as botillo, cecina, or morcilla, which, of course, should be accompanied by a good wine in the Húmero neighborhood.
