The hotel occupies a complex of seven buildings in Granada’s historic centre, including a 16th-century manor house and an inner courtyard with a Nasrid fountain, features that preserve the historic character of the site.
The hotel pays tribute to the great poet Federico García Lorca, whose work accompanies guests throughout their stay. In the corridors and guest rooms, excerpts from his writings evoke the creative world of the Andalusian poet and strengthen the hotel’s connection with the city’s culture.
During Granada’s Holy Week, the hotel’s surroundings take on special significance, as the Cathedral forms part of the route followed by numerous Holy Week processions.

The Hotel Aurea Catedral 4* is made up of seven buildings in Granada's old quarter. One of them is a listed Castilian stately home from the 16th century that features an internal courtyard with a Nasrid fountain. The main building is decorated with neo-Pompeian paintings on its main façade.
