The exclusive accommodation of the Tandem Palacio Veedor de Galeras Suites is located in the Casa del Veedor de Galeras in the heart of Cadiz old town. The building takes its name from the official who oversaw the cargo of ships sailing to the Americas in the seventeenth century. Dating back to 1647, this historic palace house has been converted into carefully designed suites that respect the original architecture of the building.

The establishment has a rectangular main courtyard with an open gallery on four sides and a two-flight imperial staircase, as well as a watchtower, skylight and well. Over the years, the rooms of the building were inhabited by a succession of distinguished families. In 1812 it also accommodated the Duke of Wellington, leader of the Spanish-British troops that fought against Napoleon in the Peninsular War.

The sixteen bright and spacious suites have been decorated to make the most of the natural light that enters via the central courtyard, creating open-plan spaces full of personality.

Situated in the heart of the city’s old town, the rooms of the Tandem Torres de Cádiz Suites are located in a Baroque-style stately home built in the mid-eighteenth century, which has been renovated and adapted to meet the requirements of modern tourists.

The building preserves the characteristic architectural elements of the time, such as the central patio with a wooden atrium, the lookout tower and the Baroque façade decorated with marble and local stone.

            ÁUREA CASA PALACIO SAGASTA

            Calle Sagasta, 1
            Customer evaluation

The Áurea Casa Palacio Sagasta is a baroque mansion built during the mid-18th century and remodelled years later according to Isabelline trends. It's a mansion typical of the Cádiz bourgeoisie with its traditional central patio, imposing two-section staircase and lookout tower, which is one of the most significant in the city.

The building's many original details stir guests' imagination, transporting them to the time when the house was used as the headquarters of the British Consulate and Embassy during the Peninsular War, between 1808 and 1814, and hosted Sir Richard Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington's brother. Or later, when it was acquired in the middle of the 19th century by Don Benito Cuesta, a marine tycoon and political leader.

The 38 rooms at the Áurea Casa Palacio Sagasta exude charm and history, with views of Calle Sagasta or Callejón del Tinte, in an area famous for its carnival traditions; furthermore, the hotel has a wellness area where they can relax and enjoy exclusive treatments.
