Spring Festival - Budapest
Last two weeks of March
Budapest Spring Festival is the most important cultural event in Hungary. During two weeks, some 200 cultural events take place having operas, museums, churches, palaces and streets as the setting for the performances.
The event is famous worldwide and gives recognition to a town dedicated to its music festival. Among the shows of the Budapest Spring Festival you can see cultural performances, orchestra and church concerts, chamber events, dance, photo exhibitions and other examples of Hungarian art, as well as Gypsies playing and dancing.

Lake Balaton is known as the Sea of Hungary, because of the close relationship that the Hungarians have with it. Usual venue for vacations and water sports for the Hungarians, its waters are home for the Lake Balaton Festival and the Wine Festival (Keszthely), the Festival Földvá (Balatonföldvár), the Szent István Day Festival (Balatonföldvár) Opening of the Season of Pentecost Festival (Siófok) and the Beer Festival (Hévíz), each with its own theme.
Formula One Grand Prix Hungaroring

Last weekend of July. Slow, with a narrow dirt track, in the Hungaroring Grand Prix the performance of the downforce of the cars is vital to achieve victory. The Hungaroring is one of the Formula One tracks that allow better visualization in the world as virtually 80% of the entire route is visible by the fans.

From May to September
Hungary can be discovered with all the charm of steam trains of the nineteenth century. Hungarian railway company MÁV offers several tours to the banks of the Danube and Lake Balaton, where you can visit some of the most beautiful tourist attractions such as the cities of Vac, Keszthelyy, Badacsonytomaj or the area covered by the Great Plains, which Caves are a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Nostalgia trains are fully restored and cover long routes and other services.
