We are located next to Raiva, a locality belonging to Castelo de Paiva. The exact siting is on the left bank, 41 kilometres from the Douro river mouth on the Atlantic coast; that is, on the port side if you are going downstream, on the starboard side if you are going upstream. Following the river, we come to the Crestuma and Carrapatelo dams.

Our location is an excellent starting point for visiting Oporto, as it is for exploring upstream the majestic landscape of the vineyards, so typical of the Douro Valley, one of the most beautiful and unusual spots on the Iberian Peninsula. In addition, our neighbourhood offers excellent places for river fishing and for various activities in adventure tourism, such as rafting or kayak boating.

How to get there: from Sá Carneiro (Oporto) airport, take the A-1 motorway in Lisbon direction and exit onto the A-32, taking the Canedo/Vila Maior exit. At the third roundabout after the exit, take the Castelo de Paiva road. After reaching the Repsol petrol station, take the left turning and continue along this road for approximately 10 kms. until you reach the Eurostars Rio Douro Hotel & Spa.
